v3.4.1 12/29/2022

Bug fixes:

  • [Free/Standard plan] When editing the account profile, the Team section would not be displayed.
  • [Advanced plan and above] Fixed some bugs with the organization chart:
    • In a workspace, the member profile modal would not display the job title and level.
    • In Members, selecting “Include child teams” would show the Team lead badge next to the child team leaders as well.
  • [Plug-in: Approvals] Saving a request with files attached as draft would not show a complete file list.

What’s new:

  • [Plug-in: Approvals] The Approvals plug-in is now accessible on the Swit mobile app. You can engage in the following activities previously available only on desktop:
    • Write, submit, and recall requests.
    • Edit and delete request drafts.
    • Approve and reject submitted requests.
    • Designate a proxy approver.
  • [Enterprise plan] Files will now be scanned for malware when uploaded to enhance security. Only approved files will be available for download.

Bug fixes:

  • Fixed minor bugs with the search feature.

What’s new:

  • New and enhanced search features are now available:
    • Extended scope: You can now search members and direct messages (Advanced plan and above).
    • Search filters: You can now use various filters such as member, channel, and project, plus workspace and direct message for the Advanced plan and above.
    • Search section: The search section now opens in the right panel for better usability.

Bug fixes:

  • In the task details page, member-type custom fields would look as if they were blank.

Bug fixes:

  • Pasting rich format text (such as bulleted lists, ordered lists, blockquotes, and code blocks) would create unintended line breaks.
  • When setting auto-join channels in the workspace settings, archived channels would be displayed in the channel list.
  • [Advanced plan] While the Swit app is running in the background, a new user signing up for the organization would lead to the user information not being processed properly.

Updates:

  • When in a particular workspace, new notifications from other workspaces are now indicated by red dots for your convenience.
  • [Plug-in: Guests] Guests can now mention organization members in channels, projects, and direct message channels they’re in. Previously they could only mention @Channel, @NowChannel, @Project, and @Task.

Bug fixes:

  • Swiping a notification left would fail to mark it read.
  • [Plug-in: Goals] Guest members could see the “Connected OKRs” menu in a project.

Updates:

  • Users can now submit their inquiries and suggestions more conveniently. Tap the user profile on the bottom right corner, enter Settings, then tap on “Having issues?” to contact support.

Bug fixes:

  • When the activity notifications page was refreshed, the page wouldn’t be scrolled up to the top in case there were new incoming notifications.

What’s new:

  • [Plug-in: Goals] Swit Goals helps your organization manage their objectives and key results (OKRs) effectively. Using this, your team can develop goals aligned with the company mission, track their progress, and reflect on the outcome to maintain engagement.

Bug fixes:

  • [Advanced plan] When a member was added to a direct message channel, the list of all members in the channel would appear in a toast message.
  • When a mention of someone was already contained in the text editor, @mentioning another member’s name would not sometimes open the mention list box.
  • In the file preview in a channel, the “see more” button would take the user to the next file’s preview.
  • Adding a new custom field or data input to a custom date field wouldn’t be applied in real time.
  • When the user moved to a task created in “My tasks” by selecting a search result, the collaborators would not be displayed.
  • Editing a text message would turn it into a mention sometimes.
  • It was possible to mention a group from another workspace by pasting the mention from the clipboard.

What’s new:

  • [Plug-in: Swit Guests] A "guest" role with limited privileges has been added for organizations. With the guest role, a more seamless workflow experience is made possible in internal and external communications.

Bug fixes:

  • When editing a channel message or a task comment, the file upload button would appear even though it is impossible to upload a file on the screen.
  • Tapping on the OFF button in the Do not disturb mode would not work properly.

  • It was impossible to move to a task created in “My tasks” by selecting a search result.

  • Tapping on a notification for an invitation to a project would trigger an error modal.

  • [Standard plan and above] When duplicating a project or a task with custom fields, the check boxes to include the custom fields wouldn't be visible.

Bug fixes:

  • In the project calendar view, the task period would not match the calendar dates.
  • In the project bucket view, relocating buckets would make them seem disappeared.
  • [Standard plan and above] When duplicating or creating a task from a template, it was impossible to unselect some items to keep.
  • [Standard plan and above] Some issues with custom fields:
    • “Manage fields” would not be visible in the project host’s task details page.
    • Changing the order of custom fields in “Manage fields” would result in an app crash or infinite loading.

Bug fixes:

  • After creating a new task with a duration, the set period would not be displayed in the task created.
  • It was not possible to change the status of a task created in the My tasks page. Attaching a message or an idea to an existing task would result in the following bugs:
    • The task’s status would be changed to “Done”.
    • Templates would appear in the task list.
  • While using formatting tools in the text editor, the following bugs would occur:
    • The user could use links inside an inline code block.
    • Formats not supported in the mobile app could be used.
  • When the user moved to another workspace while editing a message, the message being edited would be written in the text editor.
  • When the user tried to change the status of a task whose status had been recently changed, an error message would appear.
  • Reading unread projects and tapping the Back button would result in infinite loading.
  • [Standard plan and above] The following subtask-related bugs were fixed:
    • When a new tag was added to a subtask and the user tapped the notification on this event to move to the subtask, the added tag would not be displayed.
    • When duplicating a task with subtasks, the subtasks would not be duplicated.
  • [Standard plan and above] When duplicating a task, the custom field types in the task would not be displayed in the modal.
  • [Standard plan and above] When a subtask is added as another task’s related task, the following bugs would occur:
    • Entering the task added would result in an error message.
    • It was impossible to move or duplicate the task.
  • [Standard plan and above] When the user filtered the tasks by status, the tasks in other statuses would appear as well.

  • [Standard plan and above] The task and project functions have been enhanced with the following features to help you work more efficiently.
    • Add custom fields to configure the task details page as you want.
    • Customize your status options in addition to “To Do”, “Doing”, and “Done”.

    • Add subtasks under tasks.
    • Buckets and projects can now be duplicated.
    • Add up to 10 assignees to a task, which could previously only be assigned to one person.

  • [Advanced plan] As the following options are now available in the Admin console > SAML configuration page, the Swit mobile app has been updated accordingly.
    • Organizations using user provisioning can now optionally disallow members from editing their profile information manually.
    • Organizations can have their users proceed with Microsoft Azure Active Directory SSO through Microsoft Edge.

Bug fixes:

  • @Mentions wouldn’t be displayed properly sometimes right after signing in to the app.
  • While writing a message, the text editor would occasionally become inactive.
  • When the user tapped the push notification for a new comment on an old message, the comment page would be closed shortly after its opening.

  • You can now preview Microsoft 365 and HWP files without downloading them.
  • [To be provided in the Enterprise plan] You can set up a PIN for the mobile Swit app for enhanced data security. Biometric authentication will be supported in the future.

  • [Plug-in : Approvals] You can now view files attached to Approvals requests on mobile devices.

Bug fixes:

  • Identically named custom emojis in different workspaces would appear as a single emoji in the All activity tab.
  • While in the project page, moving to a particular task via a push notification and then going back would occasionally result in infinite loading.
  • [Advanced plan] Attaching files that exceed the maximum upload size limit (500MB) would not result in an error modal.

What’s new:

  • [To be provided in the Enterprise plan] To improve information security in organizations, optional restrictions on file downloads and screenshots have been added. Administrative members will be able to set these options after the upcoming update for the Admin console.

Bug fixes:

  • While in the task details page, tapping a push notification for a task in another workspace would close the app or result in infinite loading.
  • For messages and comments with only files attached, the user wouldn’t be able to add text when editing them.
  • Trying to edit a message would occasionally close the app.
  • When the user edited an announcement, the previous announcement would not be visible.

  • Projects with unread activities are now displayed at the top of the project list under “Unread.”
  • [Advanced plan] User profiles can be extended with “custom fields” to meet your organization’s specific needs. Organization administrators can add various types of custom fields, and each member can freely fill in those fields on their profile.

  • [Advanced plan] When searching for a member in the direct message channel, the hierarchy of their team is now displayed as Parent team > Child team (previously: Parent team, Child team).
  • Permissions to manage both channels and projects in a workspace can now have separate settings.

  • In case of a large number of comments piled up in a task, the user couldn’t move to the comments through a push notification.
  • Entering the app via an email invitation would sometimes not work.

What’s new:

  • To avoid confusion, the sign-in process has been simplified and you can now choose your plan to sign in from the main page.
  • Channels with unread messages are now displayed at the top of the channel list under “Unread”.
  • Swit now supports dark mode for Android.
  • When reacting with emojis, you can now see Recents at the top of the emoji picker.
  • In case of unstable network connection or slow loading, the loading status is now displayed during screen transitions.

Updates:

  • When you enter a channel with unread messages, you will be taken to where you left off, making it easier for you to keep track of the conversation.
  • [Approvals plug-in] The following updates have been made.
    • When you tap the push notification for a new comment to enter the relevant page, the selected comment is now highlighted.
    • Added some new cases to “All activity” notifications.

What’s new:

  • Swit now offers enhanced security for your account: In the event of five unsuccessful login attempts, your account will be locked for protection for a certain period of time.
  • In the task details page, the previously separate sections of Related messages & ideas and Attachments are now merged into a single section under Attachments for better accessibility.
  • [Advanced only] In the task details page, you can now attach direct messages and requests from Approvals (paid plug-in feature) as well. This sharing also can be performed from:
    • The Direct messages page (both “convert to new task” & “add to task”), and
    • The Approvals page (“add to task” only)

Updates:

  • [Advanced only] When an organization allows both single sign-on (SSO) and basic sign-in, its members can now sign up without an SSO account. Previously, when SSO was enabled, sign-up would have been restricted only to SSO account holders so organizations couldn’t use SSO unless every member had an SSO account.

Bug fixes:

  • When sharing a link from a web browser to the Swit app, the app would shut down on selecting a destination channel and the sharing would be unsuccessful.
